Shadowed Secrets

Eyes of the unfeigned

Doe-like in sinless wonder

Trusting in lucid glow

Drawn as moths

Paper wings defiant

Absorbed by lust

Lost babes in dark forest

In search of warm harbor

Oblivious of passion’s web

Tallowed seductress

Keeper of shadowed secrets

Clever mistress of the dark

Crying in the night

Standing tall against gentle winds

Blinking defiant

Beacon of ships passing

Shield of love’s fickle wick

Shivering stone cold in the chill of dawn

About Phil

Hi, my name is Phil. I’ve managed to escape the corporate world, rid myself of excess belongings, travel the country extensively in my old Winnebago, and find a new home on a beautiful barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico. I define myself as: a free spirit, a writer, a philosophical anarchist, a poet; a lover of nature, a lover of art, a protector of animals, as well as a devoted friend and partner
